Chesnok Red Organic Seed Garlic

This Purple Stripe-type produces large bulbs with deep red and purple, uniform cloves. It is known for its delicious flavor and creamy texture when roasted, and the tall, hardy plants make it a definite favorite. Chesnok is very cold hardy and reliable, and has 9-10 cloves per bulb that are easy to peel.

Chesnok is a hardneck variety that will send up a seed stalk, called a scape, early in the summer that most growers break off while still succulent to promote bulb growth.  The scape can be used in cooking.
